Job Description

Cynosure UK is currently seeking a Territory Sales Manager (South East Region). This position will report to the local Sales and Marketing Manager located in the UK headquarters (Cookham, Berkshire). The primary responsibility of the role is to sell capital equipment into the Medical, Healthcare and Aesthetic sectors. This will be done through both NHS and Private accounts.

Typical work activities

In any setting, the process of selling involves contacting potential customers, identifying their needs, persuading them that your products or services (rather than those of competitors) can best satisfy those needs; closing the sale by agreeing the terms and conditions; and providing an after-sales service. Typically the expectation is to do all of the below and more.

Tasks often include:

  • Arranging appointments with doctors, Nurses, hospital medical teams and private Aesthetic business owners, which may include pre-arranged appointments or regular ‘cold’ calling;
  • Making presentations to doctors, practice staff and nurses in GP surgeries, hospital doctors and Aesthetic business owners. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day, or may be conducted in the evenings at a local hotel or conference venue;
  • Organising conferences for doctors and other medical staff;
  • Building and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff;
  • Managing budgets (for catering, outside speakers, conferences, hospitality, etc.);
  • Keeping detailed records of all contacts;
  • Reaching (and if possible exceeding) annual sales targets;
  • Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with the clinical, marketing and sales team or discussing future targets with the UK sales and marketing manager. Generally, medical sales executives have their own regional area of responsibility and plan how and when to target health professions;
  • Regularly attending company meetings, technical data presentations and briefings;
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest clinical data supplied by the company, and interpreting, presenting and discussing this data with health professionals during presentations;
  • Monitoring competitor activity and competitors’ products;
  • Maintaining knowledge of new developments in The National Health Service (NHS), anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly;
  • Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical, healthcare and Aesthetic sector;
  • Staying informed about the activities of health services and customers in a particular area.
  • To achieve the set number of customer visits on a weekly basis
  • To report activity to the UK sales and marketing manager weekly

Functional Expertise:

  • Demonstrated sales accomplishments in a capital equipment environment.
  • Experience in developing relationships with customers.

Interpersonal Expertise:

  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and organized.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications : Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Ideally Degree or A levels in a scientific or business based topics.
  • 2 + years selling capital equipment or B to B sales experience.
  • Or you will have 3+ years experience selling Injectables or within Pharmaceutical Sales

Field Marketing Specialist Job #076-14

Job Purpose:

The Field Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing marketing programs and activities to maximize Cynosure’s market share and profits in Asia Pacific. Taking strategic direction and guidance from the Global Marketing Manager, this position coordinates directly with local Cynosure Subsidiaries in the development and implementation of marketing programs/activities and sales trainings to support territory specific objectives, sales strategies and revenue goals.

Key Results Area:

  • Implement all corporate Asia Pac congresses, trade shows and related events, including space reservations, hotel reservations, attendee badges, furnishing/equipment rentals/services, staff scheduling and resource allocation and provide post show/event ROI analysis.
  • Collect and distribute sales leads and track lead flow in Salesforce.com to ensure the appropriate sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner.
  • In collaboration with corporate office and local teams, develop marketing content including product positioning, presentations, sales literature and advertising by determining appropriate content for the target audiences, providing ideas and making recommendations to the Subsidiary sales management team.
  • Work with Asia Pac Subsidiaries to provide local market input on the development of marketing campaigns; ensure campaigns are executed within specified budgets and timelines.
  • Establish and review metrics to evaluate effectiveness of all marketing activities/programs in terms of goals/ROI.
  • Serve as local Cynosure “product expert” and provide Sales Support/Product Marketing for Territory Distributors and Subsidiaries.
  • Maintain consistent communication with local Subsidiary Sales/Marketing teams and Distributors.
  • Update Global Marketing Manager on a regular basis.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand markets and audiences.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in marketing including all aspects of event coordination, implementation and management of marketing initiatives
  • Fluent in English and one or more territory language(s)
