Product Marketing Manager Job # 051-14

Location: Westford, MA

Job Purpose: Develop marketing strategies and execute tactics for domestic markets (and international markets in conjunction with Global Market Managers) to meet corporate sales objectives for one (or more) of Cynosure’s flagship aesthetic workstations.

Key Results Area:

  • Drive the development of all downstream hard copy and internet marketing collateral – ads, literature, technical papers, videos, email blasts, website content
  • Prepare extensive launch packages for effective promotion of new products
  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate sales and promotional programs to determine their success
  • Drive acquisition of competitor product knowledge and effectively communicate through our sales force a through understanding of how to position Cynosure against competitors
  • Serve as product trainer for global sales force
  • Interface with global sales teams, R & D, Engineering and other departments to serve as Product Marketing representative on upstream Project Management teams for both new products and enhancement to sustaining products.
  • Work directly with key customers/luminaries to cultivate relationships within the medical community and monitor clinical sites/clinical research to help obtain data, and cultivate relationships in order to achieve product goals
  • Identify trends throughout the medical marketplace, especially, but not limited to laser
  • Identify existing market demand and explore and develop new way to create demand through sales lead generation.

  • Approximately 30% travel is required

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Level of Education:

  • BS or BA in marketing or related field with 4+ years of experience in product marketing. Combination of sales and marketing experience will be considered
  • Experience in Medical Device marketing is required. Aesthetic product marketing experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements/ADA:

  • May require lifting/pushing of laser machines at tradeshows/workshops/customer sites
  • Requires use of automobile for customer visits
  • Requires occasional presence in OR (appropriate vaccinations required) and possible handling of chemical waste
  • May require standing for prolonged period of time (up to 8 hours) at tradeshows

The Junior Web Developer is a technical position responsible for maintaining and supporting Cynosure’s international web presence and web based applications. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert responsible for the governance, quality, security, and development of the online user experience. You will be expected to proactively monitor sites for issues, drive UI/UX best-practices, and publish online content. As part of the Digital Marketing department The Web Manager will work closely with creative, events and product management teams to ensure the web presence is aligned with departmental and corporate goals. The ideal candidate will continually be looking to improve skillset and keep up with technologies and languages.

  • Coordinating and managing incoming project requests to identify project scope and ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, mobile development and Search Engine Optimization, social media, programming languages such as PHP, SQL and JavaScript, and WordPress to design the overall architecture, and to develop, implement and manage the content for organization’s and clients’ web sites.
  • Working with other members of the Marketing team to ensure that websites meet business requirements, are scalable and meet established design and security standards
  • Ensuring that media, social networking and engagement tools, mobile applications, blogs and widgets are up-to-date on all web properties

Field Marketing Specialist Job #076-14

Job Purpose:

The Field Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing marketing programs and activities to maximize Cynosure’s market share and profits in Asia Pacific. Taking strategic direction and guidance from the Global Marketing Manager, this position coordinates directly with local Cynosure Subsidiaries in the development and implementation of marketing programs/activities and sales trainings to support territory specific objectives, sales strategies and revenue goals.

Key Results Area:

  • Implement all corporate Asia Pac congresses, trade shows and related events, including space reservations, hotel reservations, attendee badges, furnishing/equipment rentals/services, staff scheduling and resource allocation and provide post show/event ROI analysis.
  • Collect and distribute sales leads and track lead flow in Salesforce.com to ensure the appropriate sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner.
  • In collaboration with corporate office and local teams, develop marketing content including product positioning, presentations, sales literature and advertising by determining appropriate content for the target audiences, providing ideas and making recommendations to the Subsidiary sales management team.
  • Work with Asia Pac Subsidiaries to provide local market input on the development of marketing campaigns; ensure campaigns are executed within specified budgets and timelines.
  • Establish and review metrics to evaluate effectiveness of all marketing activities/programs in terms of goals/ROI.
  • Serve as local Cynosure “product expert” and provide Sales Support/Product Marketing for Territory Distributors and Subsidiaries.
  • Maintain consistent communication with local Subsidiary Sales/Marketing teams and Distributors.
  • Update Global Marketing Manager on a regular basis.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research to understand markets and audiences.
