HR Generalist Job # Job # 090-14

Location: Westford, MA

General Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects HR administration for new hires, personnel changes and terminations. Provide administrative support to the HR Team to maintain Human Resource records and providing customer service to local and remote employees. Responsible for all aspects of managing the employee onboarding process and employee files.

Key Results Areas:

  • Responsible to ensure new hire on-boarding experience is organized and successful by:
    1. Working closely with Recruiters to coordinate details on offer letters.
    2. Prepare information for new hire packages.
    3. Corresponding with candidates from interview scheduling through employment and onboarding.
    4. Working with hiring manager to prepare for first day arrival.
    5. Coordinating, updating, scheduling, maintaining and facilitating the New Employee Orientation program for local and remote employees.
    6. Gathering and processing of employee paperwork for a complete personnel file.
  • Assist employees by answering questions and providing information and resources. Main HR point of contact for all new hires.
  • Process employee information for new hires, terminations and all other employee changes through internal notifications and completion of the appropriate change forms. Provide forms to HR team members for input data.
  • Create, update and maintain employee records.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Assist with on –site job postings and other recruitment activities.
  • Prepare information packets and internal communications for terminations.
  • Assist with the coordination and facilitation of employee training in a variety of areas. Manage training record and prepare reports on participation.
  • Manage HR group email accounts.
  • Support the HR department with administrative duties which may include handling routine correspondence, calendar management and arranging conferences or meetings.
  • Ambassador for employee Wellness program.
  • Assist with HR audits and ad-hoc HR projects within the team.
  • Assist in the coordination and planning of HR and company events as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • College degree in HR/Business and equivalent related HR Administrative experience background
  • 3-5 years’ experience in HR Administration with an automated system; preferably ADP.
  • Knowledge of HR practices, guidelines and laws.
  • Understanding of benefit and compensation.
  • Proficient in HRIS database administration.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other windows applications.
